You are exactly right in that the terrible stuff I mentioned did indeed take place 100 years ago (1840’s). Has anyone anywhere done anything to recoup those crimes? No, Not that Ive ever heard of (unlike other issues you brought up) but I agree that those things should be put away.... it was a very long time ago so I’ll give you that stuff.

But I am curious how many Baptist kids get targeted and ridiculed in school for being baptist, how many times do baptist parents get told their kids can’t participate in sports programs or pre schools bc they are baptist. How many job interviews have they been turned away from bc they are baptist...? All those things have happened to me and my family.... as in me my wife and my children, not as in my granddad and grandma.... I’m not even 40 btw.

You think campuses of Baylor, ND, BC are the same? What?! have you heard of the honor code? You realize the primary reason BYU is not in a P5 conference is easily argued that it is due to our religion. None of that seems to be a problem for BC or Baylor.

Back to where I agree with you.... discrimination happens to everyone be it due to religion, race, gender, geography, recreational habits, whatever.... we deal with it and move on. We don’t get all entitled and expect special treatment for any reason.


When it comes to this LDS people are a much smaller and more unique group than these others and it hurts more to lose great players that could / should fit the HC. BYU is fighting for relevance because when realignment and tv contracts come up again it is very possible we could be left out and forced aside a lot like when we were exterminated from Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois.
