(Updated:  Ok, I admit.  My post was hard to read.  It looked different on my cell phone at 12:30 in the morning.  Sheesh.  I hope this helps those who couldn't get through it =)  I'm also sure there will still be some smartypants who are still not satified with my English writing abilities-sorry if I make you uncomfortable.  Regardless, I still love the Cougars as much as you.) 

I can’t believe some of you people on CB. I have been reading comments on this board for years. I can’t hold back any longer. You’ve been warned. You’re posts are full of short sighted ignorance. So many of you are currently posting names such as Ken Niumatalolo, Jay Hill, Darrell Bevell, Lance Anderson, (all good men by the way) and just about every other LDS coach from the pros to Youth Football. Heck, why not just have President Nelson extend a call to Andy Reid. Would that make you happy? Maybe it would for awhile. But in time, we all know what happens. Things don’t go as expected. There’s a bad lose and the crying begins. Someone has to pay! This is unacceptable!

Then the lala land wacko’s who expect BYU to compete every year with Alabama for the National Championship start chiming in. They want another Championship by golly. And when the team falls short, they don’t have the ability to see any other issue or reason why BYU didn’t win or why BYU can’t compete with any P5 team on a regular basis-other than it’s the head football coach fault. The head football coach stinks. The head football coach can’t recruit. The head football coach is not worthy to hold the BYU mantle. (The drums begin to beat louder.)

Next, they chase the coach out of town. Anyone remember how Bronco was treated for having the audacity to only win 8 to 10 games a year. How dare he not make it to the playoffs. The point is, every coach and team has a bad loss or a bad stretch. And yes I agree, it’s not fun to go through. Fans have every right to hope and expect better thing from the Cougars. But what I just can’t figure out is why are you guys yelling for Kalani’s head when the real problems lie above his pay grade.

Can none of you whiners see that the lack of money for coaches. The lack of money for a decent stadium locker room upgrade. (Weber State has a better locker room for crying out loud) And the increased difficulty of admissions for enrolling athletes at BYU has surpassed the Honor Code as bigger hurdles? You’re guns are pointed at the target. You’re choosing to pick on the lowest, main, decision maker for BYU football. Bully! Why don’t you pick on the big guys who hold the purse strings. Pick on the ridged admissions people.

I loved Bronco as a head coach. I didn’t want him to leave. I love Kalani as our head coach and am excited to see him build his football culture in the coming years. That is unless you knuckleheads chase him away with proverbial pitchforks too. Come on! Come join us and enjoy the ride win or lose. Go Cougars!!!
