But don't think there is one solution to the problem. Just focusing on the coaches is narrow-minded.

# LDS coaching restrictions. Even non-lds coaches have to pass through church leadership approval (how many non-lds coaches want to go under that type of scrutiny)
# Recruits have to meet the high level of academic admission standards.

# Players have to survive in a very hard academic environment once enrolled. Sure, they get extra help, but they still have to pass the classes. My daughter was a 4.0 student, she called home every week last year crying over how hard 'year one' BYU classes are... most players are not as smart as my daughter. Go back and listen to what Zac Willson said about his classes in the spring camp interviews.
# Players are expected to live the Honor Code. There are 40,000 students in the same area that do not have to live that standard.
