I agree with some of what you said but believe more is on Sitake than what you
are insinuating. What I expect is for our coach to get us to the best place we can be at BYU. Bronco gave us the best shot of any LDS coach I believe is out there right now. As an independent, he had us ranked 35th on average. We averaged 8.66 wins with similar or harder SOS. That's not great, but not far off from the top 25. With all of the restrictions we have, that is who we can be. Because we have seen this potential, why settle for what we are experiencing under Sitake? Sitake has averaged 65th in the country over the past 3.33 seasons (30 spots lower).

Holmoe would be unwise to sit back and do nothing. Look at the declining fan attendance, fans leaving blowout home losses, etc. It is more than I've seen since Crowton. Other BYU sports programs are impacted by football revenues. There's more at stake than your feelings. It might just be that he is not a great head coach. Crowton was let go and then went on to do great things as a coordinator. He found what he does best.

I ran a poll on Cougarboard last week and 72% of the fans that responded want Sitake gone at the end of this year or next, over the options of extending him or waiting to see what happens. Why? The product on the field is not what it can be.

Who knows, maybe there is someone out there that could exceed Bronco's results. Would be hard to find, but I at least want us to take a chance rather than sit back and watch the mediocrity.
