football environment is simply different than it was when LaVell took over. I used to have to go the stake center to watch satellite broadcasts of BYU football. Now you can go on hudl, youtube or other outlets I'm unfamiliar with and look at highlights, games, training tactics and so on. I feel like the playing field has literally been leveled. I don't think Kalani has turned any heads with his track record - I just don't know that one can honestly say he's not that good of a coach yet. Record-wise — you can absolutely say that. But all other things considered, I just think we don't really know. Given he is still the coach, I hope he does well
