on the field. OP is citing an overreaction to a single game but the current state isn’t about one single game or even one single season.
In any program your recent results are going to impact the feeling of current seasons. People are more ok with a rebuild if you’ve had amazing years.
How would you recommend evaluating current state football? If the last 2 seasons are too distant what about this season? This makes no sense to throw out any actual results that occur.
