You also have to keep in mind the caliber of the respective students. The fact
is that BYU's student body generally has, on average, a stronger academic profile means that its graduates should be making more than Utah grads. If the numbers were identical that would be a massive indictment of BYU. The question, when weighing future earning capacity, is what do the respective schools do to a student's future earning potential. For that number to be meaningful, you have to eliminate all of the other variables, with the quality of the student being the biggest variable.
