“Slightly”? I have recruited at both B-schools since 2002, and there is nothing
slight about BYU’s advantage over utah in the B-school space. It is massive.
The last time we hit both schools on the same trip, a few years back, we spent an entire day interviewing at the u and didn’t end up even inviting anyone to fly back for an on-site visit. We filled the entire schedule with BYU candidates instead, because they were so much stronger. I was the only one on that team from either school, no one else was LDS or had any connection to Utah or the LDS church. We stopped recruiting on the utah campus the following year.

BYU will always have undergrad smack because it is primarily an undergraduate institution. That's the mission.
