I found that as I focused on calories, I naturally gravitated towards “good”
foods. I knew that I had to feel full and get nutrition from a limited amount of food, so I limited things like sweets that have a ton of calories. I didn’t entirely stop eating any particular food, because it’s mentally easier for me to know I don’t have to entirely ban anything. Just limit the things that add up the calories quickly.
