My first thoughts are that the LDS connections probably raise the floor (access to athletes that otherwise wouldn't consider a G5-type school), but would marginally hurt the ceiling if BYU was playing at the P5 level. Would be fascinating to see for sure though. A big part of it though is coaching. That's what Utah was able to do to become successful, and what BYU is on track to do. Consider that everyone else passed on Wilson and he's now a likely top 5 pick.
