I disagree with you on some things, but I do believe you've tried to operate in good faith, as have I.

I'm more referring to earlier in the season when people were pointing out that BYU and Alabama were the only teams in top 5 for both offensive/defensive efficiency and making no mention of the schedule. I do think that travel estimates are something I missed in this analysis and when it was pointed out to me, I agreed that it probably would be worth considering. As to Utah, that was the tongue-in-cheek joke that the losses to Utah all over the place skew it and we need to start beating them to change the numbers. I think (from a data science perspective) it's better to leave those games in than to take them all out, but I agree it makes us look worse.

I honestly don't believe BYU is getting a P5 bid anytime soon though. I've said that if we just started from scratch and chose the best 65 teams, they'd be in for sure. But I haven't seen anything that convinces me they're a better fit (for the Big 12, again where geography and W Virginia weighs heavily) than a few of the other top G5 teams out there - especially after the Big 12 had the perfect opportunity for a one-off trial run in this weird season. I'm legitimately open to being convinced otherwise and I do know BYU has a more national following (as opposed to the strictly local following of most colleges) - I just don't have the data or numbers to know how to assess that, which is what I'm looking for.
