Didn't even think about home/away - admitted to that when someone suggested it. As for Utah, I made a note that the analysis would look a lot better if/when we stopped repeatedly losing to them. There's just no realistic way to account for that. Taking it out is inaccurate, I'd rather leave truthful data in than ignore it. There's just too much that can go wrong when you start selectively removing data.
For example, BYU is 2-0 against Georgia Tech (13% of BYUs P5 wins over the last decade), so is that relevant or just a particularly good matchup resulting from GT running a triple option which BYU was familiar with from playing Air Force and Navy? Personally, I think it's relevant and shouldn't be hand-waved away, but I'm sure GaTech fans would want it not included. When you start playing with the data and making excuses like that, it becomes really subjective, which I wanted to avoid.
