Gives AAC another high profile team, revenue-neutral (or maybe even a raise for BYU, based on best estimates of ESPN deals) and gives us more meaningful games.
We can still schedule P5 games and we can still go to a P5 conference from there if the opportunity eventually does arise. It might actually be easier since we'd have more chances at a NY6 to raise our profile.
My favored idea is joining AAC for football only, as the complement to Wichita State (which is everything but football). Keeps travel costs under control.
