I had a friend when I was 17 that was at a 7-11 at 1 am in his car while it was
being robbed. The perpetrator came outside and shot my friend in the neck. He didn’t die immediately but after at least six months of being paralyzed he succumbed to pneumonia.

Yes, my grandpa was shot in middle of day outside a bank for a measly $400 he had just withdrawn by complete stranger.
