Three, off the top of my head.
In order from most recent to least:
-this girl grew up on my street, but was younger than me--her parents still live there (along with mine)
-this guy was in my ward when I was very young, but was one of the people my parents kept in touch with when we moved, so I'd see him occasionally. Super nice guy, terrible completely random shooting.
-my great uncle (grandpa's brother) was shot and killed in the alley behind the grocery store he owned. The murder is unsolved but is presumed to be a robbery--my grandpa and his brothers were co-owners of a grocery store and my uncle was usually the one who took the day's cash to the bank. The robber(s) likely knew him personally to know his schedule and that he was the brother with the cash for the day as opposed to the others.

Yes, my grandpa was shot in middle of day outside a bank for a measly $400 he had just withdrawn by complete stranger.
