A kid/neighbor/sometime friend I grew up with was murdered in prison. He was a kid who always got what he wanted from
His parents and was a little spoiled. Never liked being told no and had a temper. He ended up accidentally killing a man in a bar fight shortly after college. He ended up going to prison for manslaughter and was murdered about a year into his sentence in prison.
I’ve wondered multiple times if things would have turned out differently for him if his parents told him no once in a while growing up.

Yes, my grandpa was shot in middle of day outside a bank for a measly $400 he had just withdrawn by complete stranger.
