I've posted about it on here before but at my school February 3rd 2020 someone
In a pickup truck with a cattle guard on the front ran over 7 cross country kids from my school going about 80 mph.
His son had died in a car crash the day before in our town. It was a road rage incident and the guys son flipped and hit the roof on the drivers side onto a telephone pole. I remember seeing the aftermath about 30 minutes afterwards cause it was on the way to my girlfriends house who I was going to hang out with that day.
The next day the guy (who lived 30 minutes away) drove to our town intoxicated and drove through downtown going 80ish and not stopping and then by the school where the cross country kids were running he swerved to hit them and succeeded and then kept driving through the neighborhood by the school hit two parked cars and a brick mailbox and the truck stopped in somebody's front yard and he got out and started running. All the sports teams were practicing and it happened right at the entrance of the road to all the athletic buildings and everybody was there to see the aftermath.
They had the trial about a month ago. He was convicted of 2nd degree murder of 3 kids. 4 who were hit survived. One of the kids who survived is in our ward. His girlfriend died. They were both seniors and were gonna run in college together and probably end up getting married.

Yes, my grandpa was shot in middle of day outside a bank for a measly $400 he had just withdrawn by complete stranger.
