Some kids showed up to a party without an invite and got into it with the homeowner. They left and went and got more of their gang banger buddies and returned to the house. They shot the homeowner, who lived. The kid I knew wasn't at the party and had just pulled up to pick up his sister and his girlfriend, who were attending the party. The shooters were fleeing from the house when he pulled up. They ran past his truck and shot him multiple times for no reason. He tried to drive home, which was just around the corner, but didnt make it. He crashed in a neighbors yard. His dad heard the crash, ran out of the house and ran to his truck, and he died in his dads arms. He and his dad were best friends. I was in the MTC and wasnt able to attend the funeral. The killer just got a paroled within the last year or two.
