That said, the problem is that most of the world doesn't take notice or care. For them, it's about the loud critics of BYU/the Church and long-held doctrine (traditional male/female roles and institutions and the old stance on the priesthood) that they claim made us superstitious, misogynistic, bigotted weirdos. I see very little of this bad behavior on the inside as a member and Y grad. Indeed, I see way more selfless giving inside the Church/BYU than I see by my many friends outside the structure, but it appears words matter more than actions when it comes to BYU/the Church. Wish we could get folks to understand.
