I'm a crazy for cooling off on electric cars?
I am currently reserving spots for both Cybertruck and F-150 Lightning but I'm leaning toward canceling both. The big selling point is the no gas/pay at the pump benefit, but replacing an electric battery costs thousands of dollars. Installing a charging station into the home costs hundreds of dollars. A full charge on a Tesla Model 3 costs $8 at a charging station. For a 3 or X it's double that. Plus it takes almost 10 times as long to do it.
What is the benefit that I'm missing?

8 years or 100k whatever comes first. And yes real life expectancy is looking closer to 300k or 400k.
