I mean, there's FCS schools that love that they have a playoff and that they get to play college football without all the corrupting influence of big money.
And that's certainly a take. But the interest in less-talented teams just isn't the same. It would result in (even more than now) all the best talent going to those two superconferences, and BYU, Utah, Big 12, etc all being in a lower classification. Which I think is a negative, but there's positive aspects to it as well.
If you remove Bama, Ohio St, Oklahoma, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida, LSU, Penn State, Wisconsin, USC and Oregon from the equation, it does greatly increase our chances of winning a title.
