just talking about a perspective, not the actual
I tried to make that clear, sorry if I didn't do a good job of that.

Listen, I like Kyle as a coach and actually think he's a slightly better coach than Bronco overall because winning is all important to him and for many BYU fans they wish winning was a higher priority to Bronco than #5 or #6 on his list. I think he approaches the Holy War with a slight advantage in that vein. I wish Bronco cared more about his game than he does. I think that's why he's seeing the tables turning on him.

Also being a former Y all-time great who's Dad had some kind of beef with BYU over some perceived slight way back when, he seems to approach the rivalry with a chip on his shoulder and maybe an axe to grind against his old team (a little extra motivation never hurts).

While Bronco seemed to have the early edge in the rivalry between the two (h2h), Bronco had a heavy concentration of NFL talent and also All-Time BYU Greats on offense early in his career that carried him in some of those games (Beck, Brown, Unga, Tonga, Vakapuna, Harline, Collie, Reynolds, Feinga, Bright, Coats, Pitta, Watkins, etc) to some very narrow victories that he doesn't have on offense now where he's suffered some grievous losses in 3 of the last 4 seasons.

There are many Cougar faithful who are less forgiving and less understanding understanding and they add this apparent recruiting tactic to his growing list of perceived grievances against his old school or to their growing list of character indictments (along with "the onside kick").
