As Benedict Arnold is to American kids, Kyle Whittingham is to.......?
It fits his MO of being only slightly shady, like the post above referred to when he did the onside kick against Wyoming in a game where he was up 40+ pts late in the 2nd half.
I do agree that BYU fans shouldn't be surprised, they should expect that he'll do creepy things like that. It's just him. He gets by on the backs of others.
He rode the coattails of Urban Meyer and his former recruits to a great season in 2008 (sprinkled in with a handful of JC players he was able to convince to come to Utah after the success of Urban's Fiesta Bowl team). Now that all those players are gone and he's having to rely on his own players he's not winning so much and the past 2 yrs hasn't been getting very many players drafted either (only 3 in past 2 yrs, Gary Anderson at Utah St has gotten 4 players drafted in that same time).
We shouldn't expect anything less shady than this by Kyle.
