A different point of view
Where is the couple's responsibility in all of this? They no longer believe in the Church but aren't above lying and pretending in order to get their heavily discounted education? In my book, they are disingenuous and don't deserve anyone's sympathy.

I know this won't be a popular opinion on this board, but I would prefer a system in which graduates would need to have an ecclesiastical endorsement 5 years after graduation or pay the difference between the Mormon/non-Mormon tuition rate.

I'm tired of people bilking the Church out of a virtually free education and then magically having second thoughts about the Church right after graduation. It's dishonest and unfair to faithful members of the Church who would have loved to attend BYU.
