Towed at my apartment complex for "parking too close to the garbage"
Not only was I not very close to the garbage bin (maybe 5 or 6 feet), I was parked in a legit parking spot with lines on both sides and it WAS NOT the day they pick up garbage.
This happened overnight, and when I went out to my car to go to school, my car was nowhere to be found, and a different car was in the spot where I parked. I was so confused and thought my car was stolen for about half the day because in my mind there was no way they towed my car; I was parked legitimately and had a parking permit for my complex.
Pleading my case to the apartment complex and towing company did nothing. Overall, I was out $, and missed a quiz in one of my classes which in those days was a bigger deal to me than it should have been.
