No, I don't mean seriously...
But there are plenty of studies showing that those who think they are just doing what they've been told to do, they are more likely and more willing to do unethical things, like boot a car when they shouldn't, not using proper judgment when deciding to boot a car. While I understand that the Nazi comparison is not a fair comparison, it was more in jest.

However, while on the topic, I have been reading a few books and this last spring my wife and I went to visit the Holocaust Museum in D.C. and found out during the trials there were plenty of Soldiers, doctors, engineers, and others who tried to claim that they only did what they were told to do, or they were following the laws of their country. There are lots of ways we tend to rationalize down unethical behavior, but it never makes it right.
