If a rape has occurred, the right thing for the HCO is to sprint the other
direction and look the other way when it comes to possible HC violations of the victim. It's clear to me that it's the correct course.

The obvious drawback to that policy is that if merely an accusation of rape is the trigger for the HCO to walk away, there might be more women playing that card when they dig themselves into an HC mess. BYU may just have to live with that side effect to do the right thing.
