Multiple things can be true here. WCC was a good temporary landing spot for BYU
and it is beneath BYU. BYU has a major college football program, huge alumni, basketball arena 3-5X bigger than anything in the WCC. Literally no other team in the entire country is in a similar situation.
In terms of competition, the WCC is beneath BYU(this year aside :/). It’s also beneath Gonazaga and SMC in terms of competition in basketball and passionate fanbases.
