Sheez. I haven't seen a thread this long in a while. I'm a civil
BYU fan and I don't leave my courtesy at the door of the venue. I'm passionate, but I'm just generally cordial to other fans. I have nothing but respect for SMC and enjoyed our time in the WCC. We're grateful we had this experience.
It was tough to have our main rival playing in the PAC12 while we were playing in arenas that did look like some of the high school venues in the state. That's not an exaggeration, but we wish you well. We never had a fellow conference team like Gonzaga. They seem to rock every single year. SMC was more in line with the teams we knew in the MWC/WAC that were sometimes really good, and sometimes not.
I believe our time was overall enjoyable in the WCC and we sure are appreciative that you came to our aid when old rivals attempted to thwart our departure from the MWC. I do hope we have SMC on our schedule here and there and we were glad to being more visibility to the WCC via BYUtv, which I've never heard a WCC fan appreciate.
