For me Dellavedova's last-second prayer that won the game at the Marriott Center solidified the BYU-SMC series as a rivalry. That was a great game and a dagger to the heart!
Personally, I will miss the WCC. I attended school at BYU and Pepperdine and had been to University of Portland's campus and to the Chiles Center, so I was already familiar with the WCC. I also had many friends that attended and played sports at WCC schools, so I have a different opinion on the WCC than most. I don't mind the small gyms; you can sit close to the court, hear more of the player and on-court action, and get a different perspective on the game. A great compliment to the Marriott Center experience and fun to attend both BYU and road games.
I am looking forward to BYU in the Big 12, but I am also sad that BYU is leaving the WCC. I hope BYU continues to play WCC schools in the OOC - even on the road - including SMC.
