Nothing changed. It was always a thing.
Seriously - from the moment BYU got replay video boards in both the football stadium and the basketball arena, the athletic department made the decision to not replay controversial calls. It's been pretty common during games to have fans post here asking if anyone watching on TV saw what happened.
I have no idea what you think you saw from home without actually being in the arena - but I seriously doubt it was BYU replaying controversial calls. Keep in mind, fans and players often disagree with calls. The student section will boo any call that goes against them, regardless of it being controversial or not. Dumb, sure, but it is what it is.
I've never been in the stadium or arena when BYU has replayed controversial calls.
