Yeah - they coulda/shoulda known that there was more to the story - and in particular they should've known that with TCU, Utah, and BYU all leaving, the MWC was going to need some new members to survive. The WAC was the natural place to pull those new members from. And even with those three mentioned above leaving, the MWC was still a better conference than the WAC.
