Utah announced as a P12 member June of 2010, BYU announces independence August of 2010.. I don't know about you but I think it's more than a coincidence that it happened (3) months after Utah's announcement. As tough as it is to admit we're applying window dressing in an effort to keep up with the Jones's up north. BYU would like us to believe some marketing spin that indy was well in motion before and part of a methodical, well thought out plan. In my "opinion" it appears BYU went into panic mode and figured they needed to do something to appear on par with Utah.
