BYU knew what could possibly happen. It simply came down to Fresno and Nevada

betraying the WAC. BYU knew that could happen, but still had to try anyways - what other options did they have? And it's not unreasonable to think that Fresno State and Nevada would do what Utah State did, given they were the ringleaders in pushing for the BYU+WAC alliance, and the concern of the huge buyout for leaving.
