that story brought up some old memories I forgot. I still think indy
is better than staying in a lower conf.
BYU did it because it couldn't trust the MWC because they didn't follow through with their handshake deal, and shame on BYU for thinking the handshake deal was good enough.
It makes sense BYU went indy....wants control, wants TV rights, has a partner in ESPN, etc.
But, in the end, we all thought is was an eventual pathway to P5.
It still may be, but it is taking a lot longer than anticipated.
