Mistakenly thinking that Indy would help them market themselves as a quasi P5 much like what ND has done. Without winning and now losing to MWC teams BYU’s Indy image has taken a big hit and unless the ship gets righted and if ESPN doesn’t renew at a favorable price BYU might be forced back to G5. It’s clear the P5’s don’t want BYU I hope BYU realizes this and have alternate plans in place if/when the Indy experiment comes to an end. TH seems to be operating in a 1984 time warp and has an overinflated view of BYU’s relevancy.
