It's really shortsighted and nonsensical to think that our recruiting suffered

because of independence. Our recruiting suffered because of Utah being in the Pac 12 and other Pac 12 coaches realizing that the state of Utah has talent. Not to mention the fact that everyone recruits polys now, not just BYU and Utah. That's why recruiting has suffered. Would have been even worse if we stayed in the MWC
