What are the effective differences?

Ones a physician and one is a nurse.

One is trained to function autonomously 100% of the time in their task and one is going to hit roadblocks and shortcomings in their training.

If you don’t understand the inherent difference there’s no point in discussing further.

Why see a physician for any speciality when you can see a PA or an NP?
