the relatively uncomplicated cases of primary care in order to more easily train sufficient primary care providers. While certainly competent, my kid's ear infection does not require an MD, unless it becomes chronic to the point that and ENT is necessary.
I do not fully understand anesthesia. My experiences with anesthesia (appendectomy and wisdom teeth) successfully did not leave many memories. Perhaps I do not understand what the anesthesia provider does beyond putting me out and monitoring my vitals, which I am sure can be improved if necessary. I don't really know what the MD training provides that is different in administration of care.
