I disagree. Bronco inherited a much stronger collection of experienced talent
Bronco had to change the culture, discipline, and fill in some gaps. To his credit, he recognized what was needed and did it. The program was primed to make a run even if Crowton had stayed. If you fast forward to 2008, over 90% of the receiving yards were coming from Crowton recruits (Collie, Pitta, Reed, George).
