Who were talented but not coached well at all... Crowton was a disaster of a head coach... changing game plans the night before a game... playing up to 4 different QB's during a game. Wanted to win by 9 not 2.
Bronco admitted himself that all he had to coach was coach mindset more than football his first couple of seasons. Nobody questioned the talent that Crowton brought into the program... Crowton could recruit... he couldn't coach himself out of a room with no walls.
Bronco at some point decided to go with a system that didn't require talent at all, just blue collar type players and athletes, that he coached to work hard... skill took a serious backseat to hard work.
Sitake inherited a program that was winning, barely... but had a group of kids that only knew how to just out work a team and not out play a team.... Sitake was forced to bring Detmer with him... which was a stupid mistake on his part cause he should have fought against that.
Bronco didn't leave a lot of Sitake.... Bronco essentially gave Sitake a declining program... it wasn't in the dumpster yet... but it was heading that way.
