Money is really not the issue as much as culture. BYU envisions themselves as a quas-Ivy League school minus the graduate programs, medical school, etc. Until the Administration at BYU decides that meddling in the athletic department and fleecing it to the advantage of other things at the school things will remain stagnant.
There are hopes for things to improve. I think that the changes to the LES are big because they will really improve the home game experience. Now, throw in even better vendors to scalp the fans for food during the game and keep those profits in the athletic department and things just get better and better.
BYU needs to drop real money into the coaching staff for Football....and if Kalani and Co. can win 9 games this year then I think they have no excuse not to.
