5/11 years finished there and flirted with it nearly every single season. We're talking almost as recent as you can get. Yes, I think it's a high bar, and yes we've seen it happen very recently so we shouldn't quickly dismiss it as impossible.

People act like the recent decline was inevitable and outside forces. Best to focus on what we can control. Don't crap away Utah/Boise St games in 2016 where they were basically trying to lose the games and we have another recent finish.

If all the P5's we were playing were great teams then obviously there would be more leniency — but the last 3 years we are averaging SOS in the 70's — worse than what we faced during the mountain west/Bronco tenure. SOS is NOT the reason we have struggled so much the last 2-3 years.
