If you don't have aspirations for the playoffs, why do you even field a team?
I get that it isn't a reasonable expectation now, but if BYU isn't planning to compete to get in the playoffs some day, perhaps you should tell their tens of thousands of season ticket holders so they can get a refund and give up like BYU has.
Just because you haven't gotten close to something of late doesn't mean that you can give up on life. Tennessee hasn't gotten close to the playoffs in 20 years either, but I guarantee their administration is trying to set up the team for success.
