There is a huge flaw in your reasoning
Shutting down the economy and having everyone shelter in place at home isn't going to make the virus suddenly go away. All it does is slow the spread. You and your at risk family members are eventually going to get exposed to the virus. It's inevitable. The virus isn't suddenly going to die off. It will continue to be passed around until there is herd immunity or until there is a vaccine. A vaccine isn't going to happen in 2020.

Basically for your logic to hold any water, everybody needs to shelter in place until there's a vaccine. That basically means shutting down the entire economy of the US/World for the next 6-8 months at a minimum. It's a nonsense idea. But it's the only logical conclusion to your broken line of thinking.
