I am not saying that we shelter until there is an immunity. Viruses have no

antibody so we can't develop that but we can minimize the infectious rate somewhat, or as they say, flatten the curve. You are also correct that most everybody will be subjected to it, but to do so all at once puts us back where I suggested in the OP.
