So you are saying DON’T leave the 99 to go search for the 1?
Kidding. But that’s how it sounds. 0.1% is still 300k.

#1 As far as we know this is correct. For now.

#2 Every population is different. And there’s more to disease than mortality. That said morbidity from this disease isn’t fully understood and is likely less than that from economic issues but still needs to be manageable or it can turn to mortality if we don’t have resources.

#3 And I’d suggest that China is a better gauge of how well a lockdown works. They do it right. What we call a lockdown isn’t as bad as many here want it to seem.

#4 If only 25% are from the highest risk I’m still worried about the other 75%. That’s a vector that is targeted. Also, I’ve yet to hear that nosocomial infections are a large vector. And I’ve got family members who work daily in that environment. If you’ve got data I haven’t seen a link would be great.

#5 True and I’d guess 85% of the population has one of the listed “complications”. Especially if they are still counting high blood pressure and obesity as complications.

I’d wager that there is still a lot of information out there that we don’t know that would be necessary to go back to life as normal without just giving a sizeable portion of our country the mortality bird.

I have a lot more faith in the people of this con try to manage and survive and even thrive than most. But that’s just me.
