For the scenario of your family I don’t think it would be all that hard
to create a K-12 online Only program by next fall for children in your situation.

There is no reason why a teacher should need to manage in class students and online students at the same time.

You being a teacher who at risk family at home would be a perfect candidate to teach in that online program.

Problem solved. You don’t lose your job, your kids continue to be educated and your wife stays safe.

It won’t be perfect but there are many things that can be done to open our economy back up and keep the at risk population as safe as they are today.
