TheLoneCougar The OG Quickie Monster
I honestly prefer Stormlight Archives to anything Tolkien has written. Don't get me wrong, I loved LOR but writing has
progressed much like other things. And if you don't believe go read Catcher in the Rye or anything from Hemmingway...yawn. I appreciate what has made them "classics" but they don't interest me much.

But I digress, Tolkien is great and I loved LOR but Sanderson is talented and has grown up in our age of writing. Stormlight are the best books I've read in a long time. The world-building, character creation, and overall storyline is fantastically woven together.

As a side note, I am reading Steven Erikson's Malazan series right now. Very different, an extremely complex storyline/history, but I'm staying up hours past "my bedtime" to keep reading.
