I went to the ER in January for some imaging after an urgent care doctor told me
to go to the ER, since he didn't have access to the equipment. I was charged somewhere in the ballpark of $10,000 for an ultrasound, after insurance I still paid about $3,000. I hate our ridiculous medical system.

That's crazy. I took my son to the ER a couple weeks ago because I was worried about appendicitis and our overall charge
